				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The demand for tablets around the globe is growing so fast that soon tablet shipments will surpass the notebook shipments. Increasingly, tablets become a strong alternative to PC or notebooks.</p>
<p>From 2010 with the launch of iPad, the Notebook/Netbook market was invaded and dominated by Tablets. During 2013 tablets will grow with a very good pace anticipating what is going to happen from now to few years ahead.<a href="http://www.huntmads.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Tablets.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-3031" alt="Tablets" src="http://www.huntmads.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Tablets-300x250.jpg" width="300" height="250" /></a></p>
<p>All previsions indicate that iOS and Android will keep dominating the tablet market, although Samsung could reach iOS with a correct strategy of marketing, taking advantage of the brand strength they get from their Galaxy smartphones, those who have taken the brand to the leadership.</p>
<p>According to ABI Research, during 2013, 150 million tablets will be sold, increasing 38% the number of tablets sold last year.</p>
<p>Some researchers, like IHS iSuppli, said that notebooks will disappear from technological market in 2015 because they will be replaced by tablets. This report predicts that the number of notebooks sold will be nearly 4 million (72% less than the 14 million sold in 2012). Previsions for 2014 are 264.000 units and for 2015 none.<br />
Another influence on the leadership of tablet over notebook sales is the war prices. There are several tablets with low prices, and even Apple is taking part of this war with iPad Mini, the compact version of iPad.</p>
<p>Other market research firms are less extremist about notebooks situation, like NPD  Display Search who says that Tablet shipments are expected to grow from 121 million units to 416 million units by 2017, compared to 208 million shipments in 2012. Tablets will likely surpass notebook shipments in 2016.</p>
<p>But all these research firms agree on two things, the leadership and the growth of the tablet market and the continuous declining of notebooks sales.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Little by little and without realizing it, we use more and more apps, to communicate, to inform, to entertain us, to find a place, to know the weather, etc, etc. A recent report says that in the USA the users of smartphones  already spend more than 1 hour a day using apps.<br />
Now, if I manage the digital marketing in a company why must I apply marketing to the app? First I have to understand that I need to have the app in iOS (iphones and ipods, Apple) and Android (Motorola, Samsung, LG, HTC, etc.) mainly, also for Blackberry and Windows phone, but certainly for tablets (Android and iOS).<br />
It is important to know that today only in Googleplay (Android shop par excellence, there are like 10/15) and in the Apple store there is in each more than 1 MM of apps. Given the huge number of brands of phones that use Android, and while we know that it is the operating system par excellence, who buy more apps are Apple users. It is also known that there are strategies to position the app in the Apple appstore though Googleplay is to be seen.</p>
<p>Why is it important to be well positioned in the ranking? Because I will be seen, and of course I will have more downloads than if you do not see my app. The appstores are categorized by paid and free apps (also are highlights, news, recommended the most downloaded, etc.). But the important thing is in my category (there are about 20 in each) to be well positioned (between the top 10 o top 25) of the country having as market-objective.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.huntmads.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Apps.jpeg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-2984" alt="Apps" src="http://www.huntmads.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Apps-300x229.jpeg" width="300" height="229" /></a>How do I position my app in the ranking? or how do I do marketing of mine? There&#8217;s no single way, there are many and here it is important to understand everything that what can be done and what is the best strategy for myself.</p>
<p>Certainly you have to invest in marketing! And how is it bought? CPC (cost per Click) or CPI (cost per installation), and this decision is based if I test device or not.</p>
<p>However there are many things to keep in mind:</p>
<p>1) Understand the purpose of what I want to achieve. For example:</p>
<p>a. I&#8217;m a Bank and I want my clients to use the app and it is the new way to communicate with the Bank.</p>
<p>b. I am a tourism company and I want they have an app on hand with prices of hotels, tickets, cars, and which they can buy.</p>
<p>c. I am owner of a game and I want people to use it much.</p>
<p>(2) Each one will have a goal after discharge which is the use of the same, no matter which is the subject of the app, each will seek a different metric but surely it will be something measurable.</p>
<p>(3) Choose a partner to think marketing strategy with us, because it can be done:</p>
<p>a. Incentiviced traffic Marketing to generate downloads and positioning in ranking.</p>
<p>b. Marketing on Facebook.</p>
<p>c. Marketing in my target audience.</p>
<p>d. Seek to get to the ranking, to a good position, etc.</p>
<p>e. Traffic on Apps vs. Mobile web, etc.</p>
<p>(4) It is important to understand my long term strategy, both in marketing and in my app update.<em id="__mceDel"> </em></p>
<p>And the truth is a dynamic market, which is very important to have the right partner who every day is living to this context to get the best out of our app.</p>

I want to tell you good news. There is still much to do and explore since there are a lot of opportunities.</p>

<p>• There is a very high penetration of phones in the region. The highest in the world.</p>
<p>• Latam is very early adapter.</p>
<p>• A penetration of Smartphones is expected by 2013 more than 30% at the regional level.</p>
<p>• Stability in the billing of operators in the region.</p>
<p>• Busy App Stores (Google, Apple highly consolidated and pushing Windows and Blackberry).</p>
<p>• More and more use of internet Mobile (phone, iPod, Tablet).</p>
<p>• Mobile Advertising: most important acquisition channel.</p>
<p>• Google and Facebook very focused on Mobile.</p>
<p>• Mobile operators very focused on Advertising. (Will they do a really a good job this time!?) They have everything to do so.</p>
<p>Now, there are many good indicators, but it is important to think about the strategy, from Product and marketing to markets. Here is the big difference, for example, still see companies that the only channel or primordial that they use is to buy the Ondeck of the operator. Not only they don´t learn from other channels, but also the On Deck will be smaller for our business, it is already negligible in Europe. And while many pickup users is generated, you can´t stay there, because today you are and tomorrow you will not. You have to open new Windows, enlarge the funnel, if not tomorrow will be late. Example of these there are many every day, about how important it´s to learn and being early adapter of each new customer acquisition channel and understand what are the channels that will not be short term opportunities and those of long.</p>
<p>And something important, do not forget that the key is in the implementation, so the team is fundamental.</p>
